It is the start of a new age and Bonk has returned at the turn of the tide as the world faces extinction. Our loveable caveman is back and has brought his huge head with him. A doomsday comet, surrounded by smaller chunks of debris, is on a collision course with Earth. A strange magnetic field around the comet seems to be driving most of the planet’s weak-willed creatures crazy, and smaller bits of debris are smashing into the jungle near Bonk's home. Bonk must undertake a perilous journey that will take him to the very center of the planet to save the world.
After almost 15 years of hibernation on consoles, Bonk returns in a new digital download title, Bonk: Brink of Extinction. Hudson Entertainment, the North American publishing arm of HUDSON SOFT, resurrects one of their most iconic characters on Xbox LIVE® Arcade in early 2010. The updated side scrolling adventure features next generation graphics meets retro gameplay style. With classic 2D platforming in a 3D world, Bonk: Brink of Extinction combines new enemies, collectables, downloadable content and online play for the first time in the series.
“As one of the most recognizable characters in gaming history, the return of Bonk has been widely requested by fans for years,” said Sabine Duvall, Vice President of Product Development at Hudson Entertainment. “Bonk: Brink of Extinction will delight fans as well as new gamers with its retro yet modern gameplay, updated graphics and online play!”

Three new XBLA games, one Deal of the Week with new DLC, and now three new Arcade Hits? That’s right folks! It’s been a busy start of the week for the Xbox LIVE Arcade.
So, if you didn't like the selections this week, or have been holding out for something better… then Microsoft may have your answer with these three Xbox LIVE Arcade games: Brain Challenge, Street Fighter II Hyper Fighting, and 3D Ultra Minigolf are all getting their prices permanently cut down to 400 Microsoft Points starting this Wednesday, September 23rd with the release of this week’s three brand new XBLA titles.
Brain Challenge was released back in March 2008, and has already seen itself part of the Deals Of The Week program once. The game just got a sequel a few days ago on the iPhone, and may be the reason behind the price change similar to what Microsoft did with the original Feeding Frenzy and Worms when their sequels were announced. So don’t be surprised if we see the Brain Challenge sequel on Xbox LIVE Arcade sometime down the road a the original game was fairly popular when it was released on the XBLA.
Street Fighter II Hyper Fighting already has its big brother on Xbox Live Arcade with HD Remix, so it would be plausible to assume that since its release this game's sales have gone down, thus the price drop. But will the drop to 400 Microsoft Points be able to revive this Street Fighter port, or has everyone already made up their mind to buy the beautiful looking HD Remix? Hardcore fans of the series will probably pick up both.

It's been 30 years since the first time audiences heard the inspirational line "Can you dig it?" from the movie The Warriors, but it was only a few month’s ago, XBLArcade.com featured an exclusive news post about Paramount Digital Entertainment commemorating the 30th anniversary of release of “The Warriors” movie with a new Xbox Live Arcade title, and now we know the official launch date.
The Warriors: Street Brawl is a 3-D side-scrolling fighter reminiscent of older games, such as Final Fight, Streets of Rage and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Turtles in Time (which got an XBLA remake of its own last month), though taking advantage of the current hardware by offering sharper graphics and visual effects. This time, however, Paramount Games is wholly responsible for the arcade title instead of the Grand Theft Auto style Warriors title put out by Rockstar a few years back.
