Wednesday Surprise!: Crosswords, Dodgeball, and Draft Tracker

We knew about Crosswords, speculated about Dodgeball, and were shocked to discover EA Fantasy Football Live Draft Tracker.  Today's XBLA Wednesday was filled with all sorts of goodies but let's focus on the unexpected addition.

The Live Draft Tracker provides a tool for EA online fantasy league commissioners to manage their league's drafts.  In-person drafts can be handled easily with the tool as it will download the appropriate league history for you, track your draft, and then update all the league data online.  And it even gives you video commentary on top players and other such bells and whistles.  Course, I'm not a fantasy sports player but it still sounds cool.  And hey, it's only 400 MSP which isn't bad at all.  TeamXbox has the trailer here.

this weeks games

First of all, they suck!!! I haven't tried the fantasy football one yet, but the dodgeball u can't play online and the crosswords game just plain o' sucks. They even took the dodgeball one off the marketplace i guess until they fix it. Make sure u play the demo of crosswords before you buy it.

I don't play sudoku.. so i'll check that one off... Double D dogeball... sucked..... Draft ticker..... Well... good for maddenites.

Oh well, At least We get Geo Wars 2 and galaga legions next month.

update

alright, here is my opinion of these games again:


1. crossword- still gay

2. dogeball- very easy 200 once u can find 8 people to play with.

3. fantasy football- there is a guide out there to help u get all 12 achievements within an hour, so that makes for 2 easy arcade games this week

Haha, that's funny. I've seen it before, too, where someone writes up a guide so quick. I read a guide when Sudoku came out. The writer had it finished by mid-day, or maybe sooner.

That's hardcore I guess. lol

Yeah, I agree. I'm great at Sudoku, and in no way did I think I needed a guide, but there were in fact a few little hints I didn't think about to get a couple of the achievements.

I am a crossword fan, but

I am a crossword fan, but the hardest demo puzzles are rather easy and the interface to enter letters is hideous.

I did not try hooking up a USB keyboard to see if it worked for entering letters. The puzzles just were not that intriguing.
