Enhancements: Online Multiplayer

I would want: 1) Spyglass Board Games or 2) Zuma (in that order)

Rampart with online

Rampart with online multiplayer and local multiplayer! But not an arcade port, rather a reworking of the game ideas so it looks and works like a modern arcade game.

That's gotta win me a copy of Marble Ultra Blast!

3 Xtreme

3 Xtreme for the Playstation

Def. add online play and surrond sound would be nice. maybe some graphics update. but online play is a must. i would spend hours at a time playing that game with my parents.

XBLA Game: 1) Marble Blast Ultra 2) Zuma 3) Spyglass Board Games 4)Boberman Live 5) Small Arms

Well, I don't know if this

Well, I don't know if this one is possible, but I'll give it a shot.

Recently, publisher Interplay has been making a huge attempt to get back into the gaming scene. As of the time being, they're focusing exclusively on their old properties and announced the other day they'd be supporting the Virtual Console with the Earthworm Jim games, Boogerman and Clayfighter.

Anyway, this got me thinking of many of their other games from that time. Mostly one title: Out of this World (Another World, in the EU) a platforming adventure title. It was cinematic during every moment, it had great details on everything (deaths in particular) and just beautiful production values on everything.

I don't know if it's possible to improve on such a game, but it deserves another chance to get in the spotlight. It's just something that more people should have the chance to play.

Anyway, as for a game: I wouldn't mind Bomberman or Zuma. Heck, I'll even take Spyglass Board Games. Free is free, and I won't be picky. (Although I do hope that I don't get Small Arms or Marble Blast, as I already own them. Though I'd gladly give them back for people who may not have them.)

Faxanadu!

I would love to see Faxanadu updated. It is a great side scrolling action RPG which was a spinoff of the Xanadu series on the NES. It was really well done overall (much better than Zelda II could have ever hoped to be), but that doesn’t mean it didn’t need some improvements.

First off, instead of reading page after page of text for storyline they should make comic style cut scenes. You know the type where there are still images with text, but have illustrations of what is being spoken of. The original storyline is well done, but if I wanted to read straight text then I would be reading a book.

Next is the jumping physics. Travelling along and jumping works well enough, but as soon as you step a single pixel off a ledge you drop like a rock…even mid jump. So if you miscalculate the slightest bit you plummet to your death and that has to go. It doesn’t have to be overly forgiving, but the current physics (if you can call them that) are ridiculously annoying in some areas.

Third would be to add bar games. Some sort of way to really gamble or earn cash besides just farming. Some interesting mini games such as you would see in a pub. Darts, cards or ANYTHING. Takes forever to farm for some items you need to advance. Literally 2-3 hours sometimes.

Also add more weapons and armor. Items to collect even if they have the same stats as items already in the game with different visuals. The options are a bit limited and rather linear which is utilitarian but takes away from the RPG aspect.

Lastly would be a graphical update, but I think that goes without saying as it was an 8 bit game.

Oh, and I am interesting in Spyglass board games.

Easy... Powerstone from the

Easy...

Powerstone from the Dreamcast.
I'd want to see online multiplayer, XBLA specific characters, updated HD graphics, and a beta to play Gears of War 2...

Well, if you're going to dream, dream big!

X-Men the arcade game

I would love to see this classic come to xbla. It has the draw of TMNT but is way cooler in my opinion. Naturally, the first enhancement would be 4 player LIVE co-op. HD support, enhanced graphics option. The addition of new costumes or to be able to play as the bosses. Also a boss rush mode that takes place in the danger room would be neat, and maybe like a 'xtreme rush mode' or something like that where you have unlimited mutant power and enemys spawn like crazy. And maybe a live vs xmen timed trivia game to boot. Leaderboards of course...

-I haven't played bomberman since NES, id love to try the new one out thanks.

XBLA Dreams - Hydro Thunder!!

I would love to see an new and enhanced version of Hydro Thunder released for XBLA. It should include online multiplayer and some new special tracks. And thowing in the acheivements would make the gme play even better!

I know it was released as part of Midway Arcade Treasures 3 for the original Xbox but it was a pretty crappy port from Dreamcast version. Also that game is not playable on the 360.

Until that dream becomes a reality I would love an XBLA code for Marble Blast Ultra or Bomberman Live.

It's gotta be The Simpsons

It's gotta be The Simpsons Arcade game. Oh how I yearn to smack Mr. Burns around with a vacuum cleaner again. I'd probably like to see them put in a survival mode but I'd be more than happy for just 4 player co-op. It'd be great to see more playable characters as well.

I'd prefer Spyglass Board Games or Small Arms since I have the others but I won't be picky. Thanks for having a contest in the first place!

Sonic 3 & Knuckles Imagine

Sonic 3 & Knuckles

Imagine that amazing game in 2.5D!

I don't complain anyore about the new style of the characters, and I'd love to see them all in their current forms on S3&K. They could even add the other now main characters to it, I wouldn't complain about having 10 playable characters instead of 3.

A decent cooperative mode(not that Tails following Sonic crap) would be awesome. Also new and improved versus mode. Both with online play.

Customizable characters(at least like in Sonic Rivals 1 and 2) would be great.

A new version of this legendary(and best Sonic game IMO) game would be just what Sega needs to prove that they still care about Sonic.

I'd love to have Bomberman Live. It's been on my to-buy list since it's release XD (I already have Small Arms...)

XBL Arcade Game

There is a decided lack of platform games in live arcade - and I'm old enough to remember how popular this genre was as gaming developed - aah those arcade parlour C64 and Amiga days......

The best arcade platformer of them all had to be Wonderboy and this seems perfectly suited to XBLA.

Loads of levels with ever so slightly increasing difficulty and a good variety between each area.

HD graphics a must and the choice between original sound and a modern 5.1 version done with style would be a good option.

This game is perfectly suited to straightfoward achievements - e.g. One for defeating each king, some higher skill based ones - collecting all the dolls in a level and some challenging ones that are a little bit quirky e.g. getting through the entire cloud level on a skateboard - yep it can be done.

While others might argue for Bubble Bobble or something else as the best platformer for me Wonderboy is it.

My daughter likes Zuma so a code for this on her 360 would be useful.

New XBLA Remake: Rock 'n' Roll Racing
I'd love to see the SNES (and Mega Drive and GBA) game Rock 'n' Roll Racing remade for XBLA. It'd be a perfect fit for XBLA! Throw in HD graphics, keep the soundtrack songs but maybe get the originals (the original game had instrumental versions of a few classic rock and roll songs), and DEFINITELY online multiplayer. Keep the original tracks, maybe make a new set of tracks as well to make it longer lasting, and it'd be a blast! Some trivia I just found out: Rock n Roll Racing was developed by Silicon & Synapse, who are now known as Blizzard. Given Blizzard have 3 million developers working for them, I'm sure they could encourage a few to redo this. The only code I would prefer not to get is Bomberman Live, as I already have this game. Marble Blast would be my preferred game.
NES Ninja Gaiden Compilation

There are so many retro games that get released on XBLA that have maybe one or two really great features going for them. I will mention some of them in my entry to help you understand some of the features I would like to see in my dream XBLA release,

I would love to see the first three Ninja Gaiden games on the NES be remade and made available for XBLA in one download. I would love to see the games with redrawn high resoultion 2-D sprites but play exactly the same (much like SSFIITHD Remix) and of course the prerequisites like 5.1 audio and a save function (my memory is a bit hazy so there might have been one in the NES games). I would also like to see the option to be able to play the remakes or the original NES versions without having to unlock this feature (much like the XBLA release of Jetpac). There should also be some sort of connectivity between the XBLA release and the upcoming Ninja Gaiden 2, maybe some unlockable character skins or something (just like the upcoming Bionic Commando games). Although it probably wont be of much use to me, I would love to see leaderboards and the ability to upload speed runs that would be available for download by other players (sort of like N+ and Ikaruga but available to everyone not just the people at the top of the leaderboards). And most importantly I would hope to see this release at 800 MS points.

I guess if I win I would like Small Arms. Definitely not Bomberman though, I already own that.

MegaDrive / Genesis Toejam & Earl

I'd kill for the original Toejam and Earl from the MegaDrive. Such an ecclectic and fun game to play, addictive as hell. Achievements? All the present, foodstuffs and ship pieces would be perfect for them, alongside finding the super secret level 0... Hula dancers, rains of tomatoes and scaring santa clauses in jetpacks. Amazing game!

The graphics are perfect for the title, so no major revamp would be necessary, except in making it HD and the multiplayer over Live.

If chosen, Bomberman or Marble Blast Ultra would be very kind. :-)

NES version of Battletoads with Multiplayer
I'd really love to see that on Xbox Live. I enjoyed playing the game when I was younger, even though I had never beat it. It should also have an achievement called Doing the Impossible, which requires you to beat it. Man that was a hard game. I'd like the code for Small Arms, it looks really fun.
Axelay

My choice would be a remake of the great shoot'em up Axelay (snes), with 3d graphics instead of the mode 7 for levels 1, 3 and 4.

The first level:

http://fr.youtube.com/watch?v=V3F3l-SiN78

The 2nd level (listen to the incredible music!):

http://fr.youtube.com/watch?v=AfBDur-l6nQ&feature=related

It can be with a coop online, but it's not an obligation.

For the code, Bomberman or Small arms would be cool. Thanks.

Wow what a good question! I

Wow what a good question!

I would love to see the simpsons arcade title of course Goldenye and Alterbeats. I would spend so much money if they would bring back the classics i dont like allot of these crappy new games i want the classics PLEASE

Marble blast Ultra would be sweet!

My dream XBLA game

I'm hoping that somehow the Genesis game "Herzog Zwei" will make it to XBLA, rather than the Wii's Virtual Console. As one of the ancestors of modern RTS games, HZ would appeal to hardcore players -- yet it's easy enough to learn for the casual folks.

The easiest way to enhance the game would be with online multiplayer. With larger maps three players or more could battle for supremacy. Beyond this enhancement, air units (other than your avatar) would rock.

All in all, Herzog Zwei would be an easy sell on XBLA.

(and if you agree, please toss a Small Arms or Spyglass Board Games my way)

Chu Chu

No doubt - Chu Chu Rocket. Perfect for XBLA. If only they hadn't released "Boom Boom" Rocket - now everyone will think they're related.

The online mode wasn't well done for dreamcast. XBLA could make it all better...? And HD would probably be easy to do - the game wasn't exactly graphics packed.

Spyglass?

XBLArcade.com Giveaway Contest

even though i saw somebody put it up there already i would say the simpsons arcade game although i am suprized they never released it with the movie and it should have all of the above features to it (i would love to play online)

the game i chose would be marble blast ultra since it is the only one i dont currently own

ps. i would like to say if game shows were aloud on this topic i would say wheel of fourtune with online play i think that would be an interesting thing to do

videogame

the game id like to see, as it was, was the looney tunes bball for the snes. it has been talked about going to the wii, but id like to see it hit the arcade.

bomberman live

XBLA Dream Title

My first choice for an XBLA title would be Gradius V with added HD and online play, but since that's a Playstation 2 title, I don't think it actually qualifies as a classic game. So my second choice would have to be everyone's favorite bear and bird combination: Banjo Kazooie. Just thinking about all the hours I put into playtime brings back some good memories. Too lazy to dig out my 64 so I'd love to relive those memories on Microsoft's next-gen console.

My XBLA choice would be for Bomberman Live. Been procrasting on picking this up for a while.

River City Ransom!

I'll make this quick because you're probably going to be busy reading all these entries. This is what I want: River City Ransom with the original graphics and sound, online co-op, and at least one achievement with the word "barf" in it (if you're a fan of the game, you'll understand). Done - XBLA Game of the Year!

Put me down for Small Arms.

XBLArcade Giveaway Contest

Personally I'd like to see Donkey Kong Country come to the Xbox Live Arcade (good luck) supporting online multiplayer, updated HD graphics and full 5.1 surround sound.

I'm interested in Bomberman Live or Marble Blast Ultra

M.U.L.E.

Videogame: M.U.L.E. (NES)

But actually the version I played most was the Commodore 64 version, but it did have a NES port so it qualifies. Can you imagine a 4 player XBLA game of one of the grandaddy of all 4 player strategy games.

Prepare to land on the planet Irata ...

If I win I would like 1) Bomberman Live, 2) Spyglass Board Games

The other ones I already own.

My submission!
"Wizard of Wor" When I was a kid, this was the first arcade game that gave me an adrenalin rush. Fighting the dragons, teh "fly" thing, the wizard, surviving to the next level... Oh, and of course it should be live, since it was PvP/Co-op in the first place... The achievements would be pretty cool, I'd wager.
ray man from ps1 As a small

ray man from ps1

As a small child (now a large child) I spent many hours wasting away my social life, by playing this game.

I remember all the diffrent levels and bosses, (Mr Trumpet the obv Fav). It was such a good game, which i'd love to see again on the xbla, mainly because it had so much varitey in the levels and gameplay.

I'd like bomberman, but I don't mind.

Marvel Vs. Capcom 1

Im starting with a classic. Part 2 would be too much data for the internet to handle.

Graphics: Everything redrawn from scratch. Im talking about paying the same attention to detail that they are giving to SSF2THD(if i got that right ;p). Have Marvel get some of their top-teir....even second rate artist to get in there and redraw not only the Marvel side, but toon up the Capcom side as well. Not to say anything was wrong with the look they had in the original....I'm just trying to '2008' the game.

Sound: Its hard to fix what wasn't broken. Just Dolby it up or have Capcom re-QSound it. The sound in the Arcade cabinets still echoes in my ears til this day.

Gameplay: This is something that doesnt need much tweaking.....its a crossover fighter. Just make sure the hiccups are gone. The game is running on a system that makes the Dreamcast look like it played mobile phone games. Framerate should be flawless. Hit detection should be in place. Also hit detection for the background/extra areas should be in place as well.

Modes: I didnt spend too much time on the Street Fighter thats on Live now, so i dont know what to pull from it. But setting the game to include features like:

1 Player - arcade mode, survival...training. the basics.

2 Player (same console play) - sounds ridiculous that i have to say to include it...but developers have been forgetting why i have 4 xbox360 controls at home. (burnout paradise....im looking at you!!)

3-4 Player Mode - Versus or Co-op/Co-play - Put each of 4 players in charge of a character and have them either:

1. Wait for the crossover.

2. Wait for their teamates death.

3. Have an all out brawl with 4 characters on the screen at once, with options to turn on or off same team attack(hurting your teamate).

4.Powerstone style with the option to have everyone on their own team. last man standing is the victor.

5. Play the standard way(one person controlling the team until they win or lose a round, then its player 2's turn)...dont want to leave that out.

Online: I expect the same modes available online. Leaderboards....the usual affair, but I'd also like:

Anytime Jump In - If your friend is online playing and you "join" their game, they get the NEW CHALLENGER message and it immediately throws the fight in gear (just like old times).

Spectator - Watch the fight....with the option to wager on a winner. Nothing special as a result of winning the bet. It just gives you something to do other than watch.

Bonuses: Yeah.....it seems crazy that im asking for more. but what would it hurt to have them throw in unlockable pictures for compleating the game on different difficulties and getting to a certain amount of wins on survival....or even juggling someone a certain amount of times? rough sketches from the Marvel development team....chibi pics of the fighters.....something extra.

Achievements: Give me a few achievements that seem basic, then throw in some better ones, like

Gouken's Students - "Pick Ryu and pull of a special as Ken and Akuma in one round."

or

Ultimates - "Use Hulk to defeat Team: Captain America and Iron Man."

Ayways, I could go on and on about what I'd like in this game...and others, but work calls. Take it easy everyone...oh yeah, either Spyglass board games or Zuma if i win please. for some reason i dont have those games yet.

giveaway contest

i would really love to see either super punchout(the arcade version) with hd graphics,5.1 audio, new fighters along with the old,and online versus with same system split screen maybe?

i dint read if we were limited to picking only 1 game,so a quick list of others id die for are crazy climber and 1941/1942.id really love to see crazy climber come to arcade, and all though id love any enhancements, the original game was perfect the way it is:)

if im forced to choose 1 game to win,i suppose bomberman would be my choice, but im easy...any game would be welcome.

keep up the good work:)

update:just noticed the 1 game per name...so make mine super punch out!!!!

Blaster Master!

One of my favorite NES titles, Blaster Master, would be most excellent with a HD remake. Apart from a complete graphic makeover and an updated soundtrack, there's not much that would need to be done to improve on an already perfect game. Maybe a 2-player online/local co-op would work, who knows?

As for which XBLA title, i'll go for Small Arms. I already have marble blast, which is also a fun game.
